A Moment of Change: Challenges and Opportunities When Covering Hate Speech and Mis/Disinformation

My senior year (spring 2020), I conducted research under Ethan Zuckerman in the Center for Civic Media, a lab that is part of the MIT Media Lab.

I worked on conducting interviews and thematic analysis to provide recommendations and best practices for journalists covering hate speech and mis/disinformation. Titled A Moment of Change: Challenges and Opportunities When Covering Hate Speech and Mis/Disinformation, the project was sponsored by the Knight Foundation, and it culminated in a closed webinar and report that can be viewed here.
